Orlando, Fla. (Dec. 9, 2024) – Cruise Critic®, the world’s leading cruise reviews site and online cruise community, today announced the winners of its 16th annual “Best in Cruise” Awards, with Margaritaville at Sea winning the Cruisers’ Choice Cruise Line, Mainstream Category. This year’s awards recognize the best cruise lines and destinations of the year, as selected by the site’s esteemed team of cruise experts, as well as the most highly rated cruise lines of the year, based on reviews submitted to Cruise Critic by travelers themselves.
“Our editors have spent months at sea this year, collectively, experiencing all the industry has to offer,” shared Colleen McDaniel, Editor-in-Chief of Cruise Critic. “We’ve tried and tested ships of all shapes and sizes, in regions across every corner of the globe, and these awards are based on our collective insights to recognize which lines are standing out above the rest.”
Margaritaville at Sea, which launched in 2022, brings the Margaritaville brand’s iconic hospitality to the open ocean for a one-of-a-kind offshore vacation experience. The cruise line’s maiden vessel, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, offers easy-breezy getaways from Palm Beach to the Bahamas. The line’s new flagship vessel, the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, set sail June 2024 out of Port Tampa Bay on four- to seven-night adventures to Key West, Aruba, Curaçao, Montego Bay, Mexico, and New Orleans. The ship will also introduce its first 10-day voyage in 2025, featuring stops at Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, and Ocho Rios.
“There’s nothing better than being recognized as best-of-the-best by industry experts and real, experienced travelers who know and value the Margaritaville at Sea experience,” said Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea. “Awards like these based on expert opinion and authentic, verified passenger experiences are increasingly important to consumers and the cruise industry alike.”
Guests aboard Margaritaville at Sea can relax and unwind in comfort with a range of fully redesigned suites, and balcony, ocean view, and interior staterooms dressed in nautical details and colors inspired by the sea, sand, and sky. The ships also feature numerous inclusive and specialty restaurants centered around chef-crafted, island-inspired cuisine, uniquely themed bars and lounges that provide non-stop live entertainment paired with premium cocktails, kids’ clubs and arcades, the action-packed Margaritaville Casino, the St. Somewhere Spa & Salon, multiple pools, hot tubs, and plenty of quiet spaces to soak up the Caribbean sun.
